Just dropping by to let you know that the tutorial guide I was creating for the Raycasting Game Maker is finally complete. I wasn't sure if I was going to finish it for a while, and it never became the video series like I originally intended. But it is now a fully fledged guide book with every last detail I could think to include and I'm very proud of the results.
The Last Harvest makes several appearances in screenshots and a few video examples that were bundled with the PDF book, so I made sure to credit you and the other 11 developers in several key places.
I saw your guide and it's wonderful ! Very proud to see that you managed to finish your work ! I'm think i'm gonna try to remake the 1st Silent Hill on this Engine, and your guide will be really usefull ! Congrats again my friend !
Hi LordMcBN. I'm putting together a tutorial for all the ins and outs of how to use the "Raycasting Game Maker," and I wanted to formally ask if I could use your game as a visual example?
I'm working on both a written tutorial and a video version.
I love your approach to storytelling here by having each area be it's own chapter to an ongoing story.
Can I ask how you worked out having the door opening shot at the end of each section and then the intro text at the beginning of the next section? Because as far as I know, you can only have a level end screen that you can treat as a level intro screen, but there's only one.
I love the atmosphere in this game. The shooting is a bit wonky but when you consider the type of game it's supposed to be, it makes a lot of sense. There are a few English typos, but those definitely give the game more charm in my opinion. Here is my playthrough for those interested in watching:
Very nice ambience, the controls were, well you know :P but it worked since there wasn't much action. The ending could definitely have been expanded upon, but I know it was done under time constraints so we'll have to live with it unless you decide to expand upon this :)
As the title said, it's just a prologue ! I worked the last year on a game concept for a fist person survival horror game with a ps1 silent hill inspiration !
So be patient, it will be rewarded very well ! ;-)
Thx a lot for the Let's play ! I really appreciate a LOT your cover for The Last Harvest, it's absolutely awesome ! The next part of the game won't probably arrive soon, because i really want to make it really good, and as accurate as possible to PS1 game Like Silent Hill, in every way possible !
So stay tuned ! I will try to make other Atmospheric games like this one !
Hey thanks a lot ! Your game was pretty nice too ! It feels like the first postal but WAAAAYYYY lighter ! And it's great like this, not too cliché or too boring, the perfect mix !
Can't wait to see your next games ! Cheers ! - McBN
A quick little horror shooter, the only problem i had with it is that some of the text would be cut of by a black bar and the controls. Otherwise its pretty good.

Sure :D as long as you credit my game and give the link of course !
Absolutely! Thanks so much.
Credits will be included twice in both versions of the tutorial.
